Autumn at Hawk Run Hollow Block 5 Pig is Finished

I FINALLY got this pig stitched up and am looking forward to stitching all of the apples and apple baskets!  That gray just seemed to be a forever thing but this morning I stitched it while watching the Young and the Restless.  This should help me to keep focused on this block.   Thank you all for you comments here!  They just mean so much to me!

Saturday, we went into 3 Stitches and I got a Prairie Schooler chart, which is November,  I had seen it stitched on Black Sheep's Bit of the Web and it was just beautiful, so I got that and the called for threads. They have a model basket in there and Pam, the owner had two Blue Ribbon Designs in the basket, so I approached her about doing one of them as a model, and to my surprise, and dismay, she told me no.  I have stitched several models for her in the past but I think this is a personal thing.  I know that the other ladies were as shocked as I was when she said no.  It makes me question my stitching somewhat.  I have tried to make my stitching uniform etc so I am hoping it is just me and not my stitching.   I think it is.   I went in several months ago, and they accidently double billed my credit card.   My dh went in there and insisted she credit the amount back on my card and she didn't want to do that but wait and talk to her bank.  He showed her that yes it can be done and she did, but it wasn't something she wanted to do.  I think that is a lot of the reason this has happened.  I apologized to her about it all and thought things were ok, but obviously not .      I sure wish we had another LNS here but this one is the only one.  Glad we can order online if we have to.  Well onward and upward.

Hi Debby, AiHRH is looking great!! I'm so sorry that shop owner treated you that way. That's just not right! I would just stop going in there - it's not worth it to get your feelings hurt like that!

This piece is looking just great--and I know what you mean about PS "November". I've been daydreaming about stitching up the companion about winking windows for a couple of weeks now! lol!

I am always so disappointed when I hear these shop-and-shopper misunderstandings...it sure seems like there are a lot of them out there...and I can tell you from personal experience that it is often the shop's fault! Perhaps it's economy-fueled stress?

This past year or so I've really enjoyed shopping with Anita of Anita's little stitches most, I think. But, there are a couple good ONS that I know of. (and a couple not-so-good, too!)

This piece is looking great and I love seeing your progress! Hate you had a bad experience with the shopowner...she obviously doesn't need your business.

Great stitching on your blog. Sorrie to hear about your experience with the shop. You'd think that during trying economy times like this, shops would know to treat their customers better :/

Congratulations on your Goode Huswife finish that you showed in your last post. It looks great. And so does your progress on Autumn. It's the piece that I wan tto strt after finishing Houses (which will still take a long time lol).
Sorry to hear about the trouble you have had with that shop owner. It's always sad when such problems can't be sorted out in a friendly way. Maybe she'll become more understanding when time goes by.
